A Pathway to Enlightenment

This book provides the basic foundation required for the Phyllis Krystal Method. While it is a relatively short book, it is a bit dense as it requires thought with each chapter. The premise of the method is freeing the mind from influences and control factors that have been overlaid since birth (and before, if you believe in that sort of thing). Many influences from parents, teachers, childhood bullies, etc. naturally instill us to "adapt" as children and adults, and this adaptation becomes habit, which most of us carry throughout our lives, usually well beyond the point in which they are useful. Addictions (which are escape mechanisms), fears, abusive parents, controlling teachers, and other negative influences can all be overcome or at least significantly reduced in their ability to control our lives. The method requires steady, dedicated work and a commitment to doing the method exactly as presented (without trying to control it ourselves, change the layout, or otherwise rush through). This is not a "quick fix" because it is not targeting the conscious mind as much as it does the sub-conscious (which is the reason for repetition and slow pace to fully impress the message), but it will help provide for a reliable and lasting change. Try it, read it, do a few "cuttings" with the help of someone who has been through the official coursework with Phyllis herself, and see what kind of influence it has on your daily life. If you only devote two months to doing the work as presented (only a few minutes, twice a day), it will change your life for the better. Phyllis herself created (and expanded upon) this method to overcome a series of major control factors in her life (and she has experienced a LOT). There is a separate workbook available which explains each of the symbols presented in the material which is also recommended (a new version of which is due late summer of 2013). Very highly recommended.
