It is OK, not the best

It was too long and not much information about what he did after the Partridge Family and why he kept singing their songs and then stopped. He sounded very angry about the show and complained about losing money because he didn't sign a good contract. When he started dong the show and recorded songs in the evening, I would think he would have been smart enough to work out a new contract at that time. He does not take responsibility for any of his actions and it is hard to understand why he whined so much because he was too famous. Isn't that every actor/singers dream? For everyone to love them and buy records, attend concerts and try to see him whenever? The Beatles and Elvis ran into the same issues, as they became more famous, but the only complaint the Beatles made was that no one really listened to their music because they were too busy screaming. I would think he would have enjoyed his time in the limelight and after, continued to sing songs that people wanted to hear, which are songs from the Partridge Family. I also read he lost his home and at his last concert, got so drunk and told people off for asking to hear songs from The Partridge Family. I might get the book written by Shirley Jones to really find out what it was like doing the show with her stepson and what the others in the show were like. He barely touched on that and I would have liked to read more about meeting the Bradys and what really happened; between the actors from that show. He doesn't talk much about meeting people along the way (famous people) and doesn't let us get to really know him.

I never knew most of the things that David Cassidy went through. His father was consumed with jealousy. I never knew why David decided to disappear after the Partridge Family show ended. He is right that we fell in love with the Keith Partridge and would have been shocked to know that his life was so different. I am glad I read this biography. It was very well written. I give it 5 stars.
