This is the "The Tiffany Lamp Bible", Mr. Neustadt is Moses!

I personally used this book as a true reference while recreating Tiffany shades and bases with a well-known Tiffany Repro company in California from 1983 to 1989. I never lost my fascination for the detail and beauty of each piece catalogued in this wonderful book, as well as the invaluable references to glass, bronze and "tag" authenticity. Mr. Neustadt truly loved L.C. Tiffany's work, and the photo overlay process used in the original book gave each shade it's true color and a rich depth. My book was well-loved, and so valuable as a reference at the time that it was unfortunately stolen from me before I had to give my work up to a carpal tunnel injury. I have since wished it would reappear at a lesser price, but the book is truly worth twice it's weight in gold to any Tiffany colorist or devotee. I now satisfy myself with an occaisional "fix" at the churches of Boston and Maine which are graced with the windows I love almost as much. I am glad to know where I might indulge myself in the purchase of this book, as I had thought at one time it was quite hard to find. A truly fantastic guide to the great variety of Tiffany Stvdios shades and bases.

I had the wonderful good fortune to find the LAMPS OF TIFFANY at a flea market and I'm delighted to say that I now own a copy of this beautiful book.
There are almost 300 delightful photographs of the lamps made by Louis Comfort Tiffany in this book and 238 of them are in color. Each picture is accompanied by a detailed description of the lamp. There are also chapters devoted to Glass, Lamp Bases, Fixtures, Shades and information about the many other details in these lamps. LAMPS OF TIFFANY allows us to enjoy the beauty of these fantastic works of art while learning something about the components of which they were made.
Since most of us can't afford a true Tiffany lamp, I have to say that many of the gorgeous reproductions that are made today are a tribute to the artistry of Mr. Tiffany.

Brilliant reference for Tiffany lamp builders or collectors

Artistry Stained Glass in Tempe, Arizona teaches extensive classes in Tiffany lamp building. With over 40 years combined lamp building experience, we find Egon Neustadt's book to be the most sought after reference for color, layout and even lamp base matching. We have other reference books, but this one is passed around from student to student, without fail.
It took me six months just to locate this book! It's good to see it's at least available now to others. Our customers use it for a reference as well, when we are commissioned to build a Tiffany reproduction lamp.

Pam Fox is one of a handful of Certified Lipsologists in the world. She is a keynote speaker on the subject and has appeared in interviews on ABC, NBC, CBS, The Travel Channel and several local TV stations in the Phoenix area. This is one of those books that will change forever the way you look at your own life. Pam Fox has a gift, and it is not only in reading your lip lines in your lip-sticked lip prints but she also has a gift in relaying her expertise in a way that allows us to gain insight for ourselves into who we are based on our personal patterns. No two lip prints are alike she says, just like finger prints. They are unique to each individual. There are holograms all over the body that show how our biography is playing out in our biology, and Pam helps us explore a very unique way of getting to know ourselves on a more conscious level based on our subconscious thoughts and how that shows up in our Lip Prints. I was continuously intrigued to find myself easily in the shapes, lines and nuances of the lips and I was seriously wondering throughout the book - What are my Lips Really Saying? Her writing style is witty and draws us in as we seek more and more about who we are. I was hooked at the beginning as she explained how the story of the lips evolved, entrenched by the time I read that same size lip fullness on top and bottom meant you are a teacher (which I am), and beyond intrigued as I continued to read about myself within the lines of the pages and the lines in my lips. By the time I finished the book, I was ready and willing to find other’s patterns within these pages. I know that it will take time to get anywhere near Pam’s level of expertise in understanding the lip prints, but I do know that I will have fun trying. Kudos Pam Fox, for a truly Fun and Engaging Read. I look forward to the Course.

My Introduction...

This book discusses the art of the Japanese folding screen using the 23 screens in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London & the Ashmoleon Museum in Oxford. In the 23-page introduction, the author gives a brief history of painted screens & a look at some of the conventions of their use & interpretation. He also briefly discusses the major painters & their schools. The rest of this slim volume is devoted to color reproductions of ALL the screens, with commentary explaining the subject matter & stylistic features.

A few years ago I decided I would, just for fun, learn something about Japanese screens. I began with THIS book & Masterpieces of Japanese Screen Painting: The American Collections. From this book I learned the function of folding screens in Japanese architecture & the best vantage point for viewing them. Rather than standing up, a kneeling position seated on one's feet is the customary position for viewing the screen. From that point of view, the center of the screen is at eye-level. On p. 13 Impey discusses the system of vertical perspective that is common in screen paintings--a scene is viewed as if climbing a ladder & looking down. The screens in this book present a variety of subjects: many-figured genre scenes, illustrations of traditional literary stories, landscapes, flowers, & animals.
