Will Help You Turn Gibberish into Jibing

My wife and I bought ASA's "Sailing Made Easy" as a companion book to our first-ever foray into keelboat sailing. We own dozens of boating books. This is the one to read if you're just starting out with a keel sailboat. There are few endeavors that necessitate mastering so much vocabulary as quickly as sailing. The clear explanations and copious illustrations and photographs in this book will help you get on top of the learning curve. A solid glossary, logical order to the chapters, and several self-tests make this 120-page book exceptionally user-friendly.

Sailing Made Easy is head and shoulders above its predecessor Sailing Fundamentals. It flows beautifully from start to finish and contains everything you need to get the ASA 101 certification. It is the first place to start and a must have if you are a beginner. Use Sailing Fundamentals later if you like but you can't beat Sailing Made Easy.
